The Special Court has so far invited some 20 former members of the Kosovo Liberation Army to interview, but such invitations have not yet received the leading KLA leaders, who are now at the helm of state institutions.
However, law enforcement officials say the Special is collecting information on key figures of war.
This start has been marked with the arrival of several invitations from The Hague's Specialised Prosecutor's Office, while the invitation from this justice body has so far received about 20 KLA members.
Meanwhile, officials of justice cases estimate that the Special Court as a strategy is using the questioning of a large number of people, in order to receive information and data about how the Kosovo Liberation Army worked, command responsibility in every operational area of the KLA, as well as other information concerning cases that are of interest to the Special Prosecutor's Office, writes the newspaper “Zer”.
Therefore, only lower-level individuals have been invited so far, according to them, unless the invitation by the Special Court is ruled out for individuals who were at the helm of the KLA and who are now in charge of Kosovo institutions.
