In Serbia's capital, Belgrade-to-day has been discussed on the necessary support of the Serb community in Kosovo society and the role of the international community in promoting multiethnic concept.
These topics were discussed in the case of the presentation of the Helsinki Committee's Human Rights report “Serbian Community in Kosovo: Life frozen in the frozen conflict”
Words on partitioning Kosovo have halted the positive impact of the Brussels Agreement on normalising relations between Belgrade and Pristina, bringing the Serb community into waiting positions, said Helsinki Committee Chairman Sonja Biserko, FoNet.
She has said that the Serbian community's cultural and political elite has abandoned Kosovo, resulting in “everything has been reduced to primary survival”.
As Sonja Biserko put it, Republika List is a branch of the Serbian Progressive Party (it is about Vuciqi's party. v.j) and that primarily represents Belgrade's interests and its “close and personal interests”.
The exchange of territories would not be compromise, Sonja Biserko has said, and has added that the Kosovo Serb community south of Ibri is feeling that Belgrade is abandoning them, at the same time that it is a hostage to Serbia.
The northern part of Mitrovica is considered a crime hearth. There Serbs are more afraid of some Serbs than of Albanians, Biserko has indicated, past Koha.net./Periscopi
