Members of the Committee for Sezonal Grid have said that in Kosovo there is no need for panic and that every year the landric has the flu, but not pandemic as in 2009.
At a news conference, they have demanded that the term 'Agrip of swine' not be used because of confusion and public panic.
National Institute Director Naser Ramadani said the flu on Kosovo's territory is average.
We have reported over 29,000 suspicious cases, as there is no known how many are with the flu. Over 4,000 are infectious, 43 cases have been reported as the most severe condition of seasonal flu, and ten deaths. We've declared it an epidemic because of death cases. These cases are over 65 years old. Four cases are A1H1 and six cases of the A” group, he said.
Ramadani has recommended that August report on school shortages of students so that the situation is more easily conveyed.
While Hamdi Ramadani, director of Infectology, has said that about 500 cases of seasonal flu have been recorded since December last year.
There's been a huge flow of patients. This disease is seasonal. We've handled cases the best way. 250 cases have been more complex, but these have been chronically ill earlier. We had six cases where they ended up fatal. The last case a person died Friday was in serious condition. This virus is serious, and if it finds you unoculated it's very dangerous”, he warned.
Basri Sejdiu, director of KKUK, said there is no need for panic and that the situation is not emergency.
Otherwise, early symptoms of seasonal flu are fever, nose leaks, and the most infirm are chronically ill, while recommended to avoid closed places as many as possible.
