With the dismissal of Agriculture Minister Nenad Ricalo, the Government of Kosovo has managed to secure votes for the adoption of the budget at the Kosovo Assembly session to be held today, which in the agenda also has a budget vote.
The dismissal of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development was the last condition the Social Democrat Party had imposed on the government several weeks earlier for the budget vote.
And Prime Minister Haradinaj has made a decision today to free him from the position of Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Nenad Riponi. The news has revealed Haradinaj himself in his Facebook profile.
Haradinaj expressed thanks to the outgoing minister for co-operation during the time he was active as minister in the Government of Kosovo.
While PSD deputy Frasher Krasniqi warned last night that before the Parliament session to be held today, the minister of Ricalo would also be dismissed.
“next to download Ricardo. The salary law is passed tomorrow, which increases the salaries of all public sector workers, while lowers them from politicians. The law for dialogue is passed tomorrow. Tomorrow becomes the ad-hoc commission for the pension system”, Krasniqi said.
Just four days after Ramush Haradinaj as prime minister had introduced his ministers- in September 2017 it was exactly Ricalo who received the greatest attention.
The residents of Dardania County in the capital knew him well in advance of Ryon, but not as the good neighbor. War crimes claims, activated the Prosecution, and witnesses began questioning.
Drawing parallels to the situation where another minister was found coming from the Serb community, Alexander Jablanoviq, the opposition rushed through the Parliament to dismiss Ricardo.
In the fierce debate in the Assembly, October 2017, Ricalo had been protected by Prime Minister Haradinaj.
The LDK's motion for his dismissal had received 27 votes for, 40 against it, while in early November, the Special Prosecutor's Office suggested they had not found sufficient evidence that Ricardo was involved in war crimes.
On the other hand, Rikallos' subject, the Serbian List, part of the ruling coalition, has been in resignation since March last year, in response to Marko Djuric's arrest by Kosovo Police.
