Name Republic of Northern Macedonia Implementation Begins

Following the ratification of Macedonia's NATO membership protocol on the part of the Greek Parliament, Greece remains to officially announce Macedonia that it has approved the Protocol for Macedonia's NATO membership. Next should be the implementation of measures and actions announced by the Macedonian government to fulfil obligations stemming from the agreement. [...]
The implementation of the Macedonian government's announced measures and actions to fulfil obligations stemming from the Prespa Agreement should follow.
The government has already formed the group of internal reactors that will have to prepare a national action plan for implementing measures and other activities, while within seven days of state institutions, border crossings and diplomatic offices will have to change signs under the new name of the state Republic of Northern Macedonia.
The government does not expect problems from state institutions while using the new name of the state.
The use of the new name of the state will be harmonised with the new Law on the Use of Languages, which means that signs will have to be written in Albanian, or spoken by 20 percent on a state level.
The recommendations on changing the billboards will also receive local communities, while sectors and services for public relations in state and public institutions will receive instructions for using the new constitutional name.
As for government spending, it does not reveal how much the entire process will cost, but they say it will become known after the whole process has ended.
The change of Macedonia's constitutional name follows after the signing of the Prespa Agreement and the adoption of the agreement in the two countries' parliaments. After a 27-year dispute with Greece, Macedonia will change its name from Macedonia's “Republic to “Republic of Northern Macedonia”. /AlsatM/
