A remarkable meeting in Pec, resolution protecting the course of Lumbard is approved

The Municipal Assembly of Pec on Wednesday has held an extraordinary session, in which members of the Assembly unanimously voted a Resolution decision to preserve Lumbardha's natural flow in Rugova's Grip. Point 1 of it says that “forbids any construction or exploitation of Lumbard or shift [...]
At point 1 of it says that “bans any construction or exploitation of Lumbardhi or the shift of its course across Rugova's Grip and the territory of the Pec municipality”.
And at the point 2 of this resolution, Pec's KK has requested from the Interministerial Strategic Investment Commission and the Investment Agency and the Support of Enterprises to respect Resolution 1 point and urgently halt the procedure initiated by “Kelkos Energy-Pey. P. K.”, for obtaining strategic investor status and linking the strategic investment agreement for energy production in the course of Lumbardhi in Rugova's Grit”.
Such an effort was opposed two days ago even to a protest of civil society and citizens who have opposed the idea of intervention in the course of Lumbard by any investor, Koha Ditore reports.
With the slippers, he wrote: We give it back, Lumbardhin skee, don't touch my Lumbardhin”, “Jo dam, no pipes, protect nature, protect tourism” and ) not even a dead river”, protesters have signed a petition by which they express opposition to the construction of these plants.
Meanwhile, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has reacted after the protest with a post in his profile on the social Facebook network. He has made it known that after the protest of citizens in Pec and legitimate concerns raised at the meeting by representatives of the Rugovas community about the plant construction project in Lumbarh, the line ministry has demanded the immediate interruption of further procedures until the creation of a clear and comprehensive mirror for the scale of this project in the environment.
“Projects, which clash with the interests of the Rugova area's residents, will never exceed”, wrote Haradinaj on Facebook.
