More than 150 men, women and children from Kosovo are still at war grounds, but no state wants to hold.
This number is added to 60 other children who were born in recent years and who at least one of their parents have it in Kosovo's citizenship.
Albion Musliu, from the office in Pristina of the International Committee of the Red Cross, told Radio Free Europe that this organisation assists in facilitating the process of repatriation or reunification with families abroad with the consent of all persons and parties involved.
“This may include facilitating the process of repatriation or reunification with families abroad ʹ on a completely humanitarian basis in extraordinary conditions and only with the consent of all persons and parties involved”, Musliu said.
According to her, the International Red Cross is willing to provide travel documents to these people, but only after the states involved are hired for such a transfer.
“If the person in question does not have valid travel documents and unless alternative solutions can be found, the KNKK can provide such a document, provided that the applicant, from which the state the person has traveled in question, the possible transit state and the receptive state, have agreed to repatriation, respectively. Due to the complexity of the situations and the number of parties involved, these processes take a time of”, Musliu said.
Despite the willingness expressed by the International Red Cross Committee to help bring these people back to the Government of Kosovo, although contacted, there was no willingness to talk about the matter.
