He has said that the target will not only be places where these missiles are deployed, but also over the US, Reuters writes.
In his annual speech at Parliament, Putin has said Russia has not called for confrontations and will not take initiative to deploy missiles to Europe in response to America.
He has said the Russian reaction would be to any deployment and that policymakers in the US should count the risks before they act.
