PSD: 11th anniversary of Independence finds us near important challenges

The Social Democrat Party has congratulated all citizens of Kosovo on the 11th anniversary of the independence and state sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo.

In this 11th year of independence, such as every anniversary, we commemorate, honor and entitle sacrifices and long and long popular effort for freedom, equality and solidarity. These ideals were the guide of the liberation effort and were to be the foundation of our sovereign Republic. This anniversary of independence, like many others before him, reminds us of and highlights, the successes of our Republic, the pains of its growth, but also the keys in many areas. This year we mark the anniversary of independence with a major step in statehood ] establishing the legal basis for building our defence capacities. We're not there yet. A sovereign state in addition to domestic proclamation should have complete foreign recognition. In this direction, the 11th anniversary of Independence finds us next to another significant challenge: the conclusion of the long and often pointless and harmful process of dialogue with Serbia. It is imperative that this process be completed with recognition from Serbia, in order to pave the way and ensure recognition by other countries, with Kosovo's membership in the UN and the establishment of Kosovo's full contractual relationship with the EU”, it is said further.

Republic, it says The PSD, to be sovereign, must be both developmental and social.

The state government's “are its citizens. The democratic republic provides equal treatment and equal participation of all in public goods and services. This on the other hand provides an active citizen with the capacity to produce authentic democracy. Our economy needs to develop to create quality countries, with job qualifications and sustainability, equal regional development, education and functional health, but also environmental sustainability. Our Republic must build functional distribution mechanisms that enhance its well-being and develop society. A more developed and educated society will be one in which we will not see and further experience the oppression of violence against women, the exploitation of workers, the recovery of the poor, the huge gap in wealth and rights. So, and that's how we're going to have our own country and for us, which guarantees peace, distributes justice, creates equality, offers care, develops, protects us, is solid in a word that sets us free.
