Prespa Agreement Enters into force

Through this note Greece reports it has fulfilled its obligations to enable the Prespa Agreement to come into effect. The date for constitutional changes and constitutional laws, with which the Republic of Macedonia will become Republic of Northern Macedonia, is expected to be announced in the Official Journal tonight.
Then the two states will report to the UN on the name change. The foreign ministry is immediately obliged to announce other UN member states and international organisations as well. But also the 130 states the country has recognised by its constitutional name. Citizenship is projected to be Macedonia's “/citire of the Northern Republic of Macedonia” in all travel documents. While changes in passports and personal documents will take place in the next five years.
