Iranian Mehr agency said Kuzestan's southwest province was hit today by a 4.8 magnitude earthquake, and regional media report that the earthquake was stronger and felt in the surrounding countries.
The Geophysics Centre of Tehran University announced that the earthquake shook the city of Izeh about an hour after midnight local time, and the epidera was at a depth of 15 miles [15 km].
The Iranian agency claims that there is no record of damage or victims so far, Kosovo Press broadcast.
