Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets in cities throughout France to protest the increase in the number of Jewish attacks, writes The Guardian, reports Periscopi.
Political leaders from all parties, including that of presidents Francois Hollande and Nicolas Sarcozy, gathered in Paris, filling the Republic Square to protest acts with a slogan: “Mjaft!”
Macron visited the National Holocaust Memorial in Paris with the head of the Senate and National Assembly.
This comes after the rise of anti-Hebrew attacks in France, which is their largest home outside of Israel and the United States.
The government has warned that antisemitism “was growing like a snake”, despite the trauma felt by the 78 thousand French Jews who were deported to death camps.
