Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli has reacted to statements by his Serbian counterpart, Ivica Dacic, at the Security Council. Pacolli on a Facebook post has said how it is possible that in a diplomatic room, representatives of a criminal regime speak.
Pacolli's full response:
Over the years, we have seen global debate over the democratisation of the United Nations system. However, when I see former Balkan Kasap spokesman Slobodan Milosevic, today minister in Serbia's Government, Ivica Dacic, speak wide and unstuffed in front of respected diplomats of countries represented at the UN Security Council, raises the dilemma, whether the democratisation of global institutions, or the creation of space for figures with criminal and shovenist backgrounds, such as Daci.
So how is it, in a diplomatic room, to speak to representatives of a criminal regime, a country responsible for certain Balkan wars, to representatives of countries that enabled peace and stability, and rightly back up our independence!
Is this democracy or the defect of this universal system! ?
