The Obilic law, adopted three years ago, stipulates that residents pay electricity at a cheaper price, KTV reports.

According to Article eight of this law, Z. The RRE in co-operation with Government is obliged to provide a lower price quota for electricity.

The Energy Regulatory Office through a written response has told KTV that actually defining a date when residents will pay the cheaper energy price is impossible.

“Based on the laws and regulations in force, the electricity tariffs for regulated consumers are defined without regional distinction and the application of the provision, which you are referring to, would imply changes of primary and secondary legislation regulating the issue of determining electricity tariffs”, ZRE spokeswoman Adelina Murtezaj has said.

Citizens, on the other hand, are disappointed that this is not yet being implemented in practice.

In the municipality of Obliqi, they say this year they are looking at the possibility that through budget from the category of subsidies electricity, to be paid half the residents of the municipality.

From the Obilic Law, the municipality this year. With the approval of the state budget. has benefited over 4m euros in additional budgets.
