Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, and EU High Representative Federica Moghrini, have held a telephone conversation to review the situation in the Western Balkans in particular for reports between Pristina and Belgrade.

High Representative Federica Moghrini, through a Twitter post, has said the conversation with President Vuciq has focused on dialogue and normalisation of reports with Kosovo.

“I talked with President Vuciq about the road ahead about dialogue. A comprehensive, legally binding agreement on normalising all open issues is urgent and essential for Kosovo and Serbia for progress towards the EU, stability and peace in the region. The tariff must be removed, the talks must continue” Mogherin wrote.

President Vuciq has said during the conversation that dialogue can continue only after the withdrawal of the fee on Serbian goods on the part of Pristina and the halting of provocations such as the adoption of the Trepca Statut, a communique by the Serbian Presidency is said.

He has said such unilateral moves on the part of Pristina undermine the region's stability.

In the conversation, it was stressed that Serbia is committed to implementing necessary reforms on the European road, the communique said. /rel
