Minister of Internal Affairs: I've been thinking about resigning after the girl from Drenas.

Interior Affairs Minister Ekrem Mustafa says he has thought to resign from the minister's post after publishing the case of the minor girl from Drenas who was first mistreated by the teacher and then even by a police official. He has given a reason why he has not done so, [...]
He has given a reason why he has not done so, saying that it is better to continue resolving the case.
I thought it was a position for me to take action with myself anyway, but the moment I took the case was already under way. It's good for us to keep going so that the case can be solved no matter whether I resign or not. But it won't be institutional vacuum anyway even if I leave this task. I've been thinking about treating the case in such a way as to get a well-deserved epilogue, because it's a very sensitive and quite touching case for the dictatorship that I led”, he said.
The minister also talked about whether they offered help to the victim's family.
We as an institution have insisted that we be organized in such a way that the case will not take an uncontrolled measure and we think that the next few days we'll contact the family and offer what we see on the basis of danger if we see the family at stake”, he said. Mustafa has declared that no one will remain unpunished who has been involved in this case.
I am not going to punish people who are involved and have been informed of the case in question. Despite the progress and investigations Kosovo Police will make to this case we will positively reflect that the citizen has credibility in the Kosovo Police and that we will punish all the acters who have been notified of this case and have not carried out their duty according to the rule and description of their” duties, he said.
