One of the most reliable people of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Euro-Deputet and rapporteur for Serbia, David McAllister, has spoken about the situation in the Balkans, with particular emphasis on media freedom in countries of the region.
McCalister has also talked about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, saying it should continue as soon as possible.
He also mentioned the tax Kosovo has imposed on Serbian goods, saying Kosovo should not allow too late, but must remove the tax and continue the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, writes N1, the Periscope broadcast.
McCalister said days ago he hoped Kosovo would remove the tax in order to pave the way for dialogue.
The Kosovo Government's decision to apply the 100 per cent tax on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is a clear violation of CEFTA and the Stabilisation and Association Agreement. I call on the government in Pristina to cancel this decision so that, I hope, the dialogue will continue”, McAllister said. /Periscope
