On the 12th anniversary of the assassination of Mon Bala and Arben Dzedin, who lost their lives in the 2007 protest, the Vetevendosje Movement, along with family members, friends and citizens, have taken a look at the memorial plates set out on the square.
Vetevendosje Movement Parliamentary Group chief Glauk Konjufca said they have gathered today to remember their life and work.
When the citizens arrived here, the UNMIK Army came forward and blocked the streets, we warned a peaceful protest, and it turned into a bloodshed. As a result, Mon Balaj and Arben Xhedeen died. We at this ceremony are gathered to remember their lives and the political goal of the 2007 protest” again, he said.
He said that besides the martyrs of war, there are martyrs of the postwar and will of society.
It's painful that when they died, it's also painful that they never found justice, as well as their families, because, we can cool down a little bit when those who did the crime are in front of bars”, Conjufca added. /Kosovo pres/
