Why Kosovo is not coming to new recognitions

Despite the fact that some countries may have withdrawn the act of recognition, authorities in Pristina believe there are 116 states that have recognised Kosovo as a state. That number was presented a year earlier in the footnote of the 10th anniversary of independence.
Confusion about the number of recognitions has increased following Serbia's diplomatic campaign, oriented towards abolishing or canceling Kosovo recognitions by certain states.
But, Fatmir Hajolli, adviser to Kosovo Government Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli, said that for eleven years, Kosovo has scored a considerable success in reporting with many other countries that are independent, though it has faced serious difficulties.
This does not mean that we should now stop, but I say as Minister, we invite all institutions to co-ordinate actions with us and to rely on it to make diplomacy and foreign policy in co-ordination with MPJ and Minister”, Hajolli said.
