KEK workers have protested today at Skenderbeu Square in Pristina for opposing the Law on Salaries.
Nexhat Llumnica, deputy chairman of the new KEK Union during the protest, has asked the president not to decree the Law on Salaries, as they are disappointed with KEK's involvement in the law.
The government and the Assembly, instead of stimulating this powerful enterprise in Kosovo, are trying to destroy it. We call on the president of Kosovo not to decree the Law for the Pagan”, Llumnica said.
Even the representative of the COST Union, Adem Gashi, has said their demands are similar to KEK.
KEK's protest has backed Lamih Balaj, chairman of the union Federation of PTK, who has said the error with the Law of Salaries must be adjusted, on the contrary to harsh strikes and protests.
BSPK Chairman Avni Aydin stressed that they are not seeking charity, but the workers' solution.
We can't develop this place, because we're the sons of this country. I think we and you are defending your right and we are not going to let you go. I demand from the government that measures be taken immediately to meet the demands of the workers... Stop corruption”, Aydin said.
