Jasharaj, after three weeks of lesson loss, says he compromised because of his students

After three weeks of strike in Kosovo's education sector, the United Education, Science and Culture Union has accepted the offer of heads of state institutions, where with this agreement reached today, the cofficiency, which required it to grow by 30 percent, is up by about 20 percent. With the deal reached, [...]
At SBASK, they are now saying they have agreed to make such a compromise in view of the loss of teaching for students, and the parents' demands for starting the learning process.
Today, the third week of the education sector strike has ended, with single demand rising 30 percent from the cofficient.
Very determined, the SBASK consistently stated they did not give up the strikes until their demand is met.
But yesterday, they held a meeting with Finance Minister Bedri Hamza, who promised them solutions.
While today, SBASK representatives were hosted at the meeting in the Assembly Speaker's cabinet, Kadri Veselin, attended by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Finance Minister Bedri Hamza and Commission for Public Administration Chairman Nat Hasani.
They came out with a deal reached, in which the prime minister's bid -- presented two weeks earlier -- which the SBASK had refused -- and another new offer by Wessel, which together freezes the cofficiency for 20 percent in the education sector.
The SBASAK chairman, Nundman Jasharaj, says of KosovaPress, that both offers together are close to teachers' demands.
And we had an offer and today we're talking about a co-fficiency movement in the education sector, and this new movement offers more to the state with us, in the sense that their offer that has now come true, is approaching our demand, which has been at least 30 percent, has not been achieved in full but with this new offer, with today's decision closer to our”, he says.
Jasharaj, had stated yesterday that the strike could last another year unless their demand is met.
Today, according to him, there must be compromises in the dialogue.
“Everywhere in the dialogue, there must be compromises, but we were categoryic based on the first offer that was pretty far from our demands, with the second offer of the heads of institutions, their offers made us closer to our demands, and that made us consult people on the ground, accept the bid”, he says.
The SBAShaK Finance Manager, Ymer Ymer, explains for Kosova Prees, that with the agreement reached, the entire education sector is included in the increased cofficiency.
He says that what they asked for has not been accomplished, but they have made concessions because of students and parents' request for the start of the learning process.
“Me shikku in terms of raising cofficients as we requested 30 percent has not been reached, we have largely considered parents' demands and the loss of student learning, which we have come to this agreement has become a compromise, we have also obtained consent. Educators were originally coefficinators 1.7, now with this new deal, the cofficiency is 2. Preschool educators include nests between the ages of 3 and 6, which are behind the 1.9 - and now have 2.25. Then professors, psychologists, school secretaries who have two of these agreements have the coefficator 2.3”, he says.
And teachers in lower high school who are behind the coefficency 2 now with the new deal will have three.
And special schools and high-school schools where the cofficiency has been 2.3 will now be 2.6, while the directors in pre-school institutions that had 2.2, will now have 2.5.
While the directors of the lower high school had a 2.4 cofficiency, with the new deal they'll have 2.7, and high school principals from 2.7 will now have the Koenficient 3.
We remember that the agreement was reached a day before the Law on Salat is put to the polls at the Kosovo Assembly session, where the budget of the Republic of Kosovo for 2019 is expected to be voted tomorrow.
