Historical: Protocol signed for Macedonia's NATO membership

Protocol signed by Secretary General NATO Jens Stoltenberg and Macedonia's Foreign Affairs Minister Nikola Dimitrov announce Telegraph Macedonia.
Stoltenberg in his speech said it is a pleasure to meet with Minister Nikola Dimitrov again, saying this is a historic act.
With the courage of prime ministers, Alexis Tsipras and Zoran Zaev signed the Prespa Agreement, which has brought us here today. There have been difficulties and obstacles, but commitment to democracy led to greater stability and prosperity. We've been waiting for you to join our family with us eagerly. Signing the protocol implies beginning ratification of the process for membership”.
After signing the protocol, we expect you to proceed with your reforms and work. From today, your representatives will participate in NATO meetings. Become a member of NATO's 30th will enable you to have stability and security”, Stoltenberg said, among other things.
While Minister Nikola Dimitrov said he feels excited to be among NATO ambassadors and representatives. He told Macedonia NATO membership is the fulfillment of the promise of earlier generations.
“With membership in the Euro-Atlantic family, we fulfill our parents' promise that our main goal is NATO membership. The agreement came from the dedication of prime ministers Zoran Zaev and Alexis Tsipras. I also want to mention the leadership of Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, who encouraged us in signing the agreement with Greece”.
For us NATO is a family that has security, stability and prosperity. This journey has made us mature and has proved that we can take our responsibilities as well as solve problems. The trip is not over and we will not walk on our own, we will have 29 other allies”, Dimitrov said.
The protocol for Macedonia's membership was signed by representatives of all 29 NATO member states.
