Kosovo Women Network ( S. The GK) and Lobi for Gender Equality in Kosovo (Lobi) are indignant at the launch that was recently launched to the logo of the 11th anniversary of Kosovo Independence, where only a man's silhouette is discriminatory and unacceptable, in their view, does not recognise the contribution of women to statehood.
RGK and Lobi disagree with the statement issued by State Protocol representative Orhan Hajrizi, under which the logo is designed in order to be considered a dedication towards the formation of the Kosovo Army.
We are convinced that the work and representation of our state identity has been promoted many times in these years by Kosovo women, and even their achievements have been hailed by state officials themselves. These merits should be regarded as equal to the level of importance, and we re-focus that recognition of women's contribution to building the state image should also be reflected in the logo of the 11th anniversary of independence”, said in response.
