“The US, Great Britain, Germany and Poland sharply rejected the UN secretary-general's regular quarterly report on Kosovo, in order to deploy on the session agenda”, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said today.
At a press conference, he said that for the first time in the UN Security Council, the agenda, which is proposed every month by the next chairman, was not approved.
Dacic explained that the session to discuss the regular report is scheduled for 7 February, but it is not sure whether it will be for Kosovo, as the agenda will likely be approved that day.
We can hardly get nine votes to be in the agenda, as there are no veto, but can't even get nine votes to go”, Dacic said.
Otherwise, the US and Great Britain have now called for no hearings on UNMIK's regular report on Kosovo, thus acknowledging the new reality created with Kosovo's declaration of independent state.
