Research and Forgiveness from Serbia required to include on dialogue platform

The Kosovo Assembly has not yet set any date for holding the session in which the state platform for dialogue with Serbia will be discussed and put to the polls. The document is not receiving support from major opposition parties, while MPs that initiated it hope it will be approved when it reaches [...]
After many meetings between the heads of institutions and the state team, the platform designed for dialogue with Serbia received the support of the chairman of the Parliament, the prime minister and the president.
But it is now in the hands of Kosovo Assembly deputies, whether they support a document that is expected to serve for continuing dialogue with Serbia, with the goal of reaching the final agreement between the two states.
According to Social Democrat Party MP Dardan Sejdiu, the platform is container on red lines, Kosovo's conditions and principles for a real dialogue.
I believe it will be approved since the document is content with respect to red lines, conditions, our principles for a real dialogue. Even here, as if by law for salaries, as with the state administration, we've made a huge breach in the order of things, so far it's dialogue without any document. It is a dialogue by individuals in positions, depending on the power behind them, and negotiations have taken place. It's the first time the dialogue comes back to the convent, we have a dialogue law that's passed in the first reading, and now we have a platform that pretty much turns the place where it should be”, he says.
The negotiating team does not support the two opposition parties, the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement.
MP Albulen Haxhiu from Vetevendosje says they do not accept the way the platform was brought in. According to her, the team has no competence.
For if first it was completely unacceptable how they brought the platform without voting the bill, there is no authority on this team, the bill we will send to the constitutional court if it is adopted in second review. And we consider that under these circumstances the country would have to go into extraordinary elections, we have a non-functional assembly, we have a minority government, and in that sense we can't continue thus”, she declares.
With this platform, Kosovo insists that dialogue be closed with internationally binding legal agreements through which there should be mutual recognition between the two states. And the president of Kosovo is authorised to hold talks on reaching the legal agreement.
Political issue recogniser Behlul Beqaj says the platform will be supported by those who supported the formation of the negotiating team.
The “will find the support of those who have been behind the support of forming the negotiating commission, but I said, this is farce. In the last instance, even if these happen to insist that the platforms, resolutions and the law for dialogue be implemented, the final epilogue would be this particular sʹka of the division of Kosovo. So, I think that's exactly why all these Farsa and this document, these documents have more of a farce nature than it is an issue which will really happen in the form of how those, who think they are acts, will be involved in a historic process of agreement between Serbia and Kosovo”, Beqaj says.
According to the negotiating team, with this platform they show they are committed to building peace in the region and for good neighbourly relations with the countries of the region.
But, at the Kosovo Democratic Institute, they say the platform should include Kosovo's request for forgiveness on Serbia's part.
Life Krasniqi from KDI says that through the platform Kosovo should clearly require mutual recognition, and not just respect of sovereignty.
“Platform is a tool we have asked out, but even the platform as a document should be a document that does not create spaces for ambition, but that clearly has Kosovo's requirements stated in 2008, it should clearly be required that there be mutual recognition in this process, not just respect for sovereignty, but formal recognition of the state of Kosovo on the part of Serbia, with its territorial integrity, its sovereignty, as it was proclaimed in 2008, at the same time it is negative that we do not see at this platform the Kosovo side of the request for forgiveness of Serbia<6, the Serbian said, no.
The Democratic League of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement have refused to be included in drafting the platform for dialogue with Serbia.
After handing over the platform to the Parliament on February 15th on the part of the state team, it was said to be reviewed in a short term.
