The European Union's Ambassador to Tirana, Luigi Sorica, has reaffirmed today that burning mandates is against productive democracy.

In a proposal for media, the ambassador said that burning warrants creates a moment of uncertainty.

“We expect both the government and opposition to engage in a constructive discussion. The government must work to meet the obligation, including commitments to European integration. The opposition has the right to express itself as we have said in a good and free manner. We know this country must be parliament and the opposition should not boycott parliament”, the EU diplomat appealed.

Last week, I said the decision to burn the warrants could create a moment of uncertainty and it will take time before this security comes from the CEC and the CEC will take more time than we thought. So we said that burning mandates would be against the producer for democracy”, Sorica said, following.

The ambassador has also appealed for a quiet opposition protest. We expect any protest to be peaceful and without violence because it is not good for Albania and its reputation”.

Asked about the delegation's visit by the European Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs, Sorica said the “this visit is not coincidence, but would stress that the country for discussions between the opposition and the government is parliament. There will be a press conference Thursday morning, and we hope that there are positive signals”.

Asked whether the Eurodeputs will play the referee, Sorica said the Europarliamentary's “rroll is important. They have played an important role in the past. They will listen both sides and make an assessment of the June” decision.
