Yesterday, the two officials, John Erath and Brad Berkeley, were hosted at President Hashim Thaci's office.
“Deputy Senior Director for Europe of the National Security Council (NSC) John Erith and Director of The NSC for European Affairs, Brad Berkeley, met yesterday with President Thaci and Prime Minister Haradinaj, following the visit to Belgrade and meetings with leaders of Serbia's government. The guests came to reinforce President Trump “'s order to capture this unique moment... and to refrain from actions that would make reaching a more difficult accord”. In both capitals they stressed the White House's concern that the dialogue should be turned on track, and that both sides should cut off provocative actions and take constructive steps to return to negotiating table”, their statement said.
In addition, it is said that “Mysphires reiterated their message from the February 11th interilateral letter that taxes on Serbia and Bosnia products are an obstacle to progress, undermine our partnership, and have to be suspended so that Dialogue with Serbia moves forward. They stressed the urgency of Kosovo reaching a comprehensive normalisation agreement with Serbia, and the US-Kosovo alignment for this common strategic interest”, the announcement concludes.
