Speaking about this idea, he has said that Albanians should first enable the conditions for returning Serbs to the south from what, according to him, were expelled, and then discuss other things.
The “Albanians who went during the war from the northern part have returned north. But Serbs have not returned to the south. Let's do this first and then we'll talk about other things. The desire of the Serbian people who live in the north is certainly not for the union of Mitrovica, while the union itself meant the total absence of the Serb people in northern Kosovo”, b92 quoted Drescu as saying.
He has also talked about adopting Trepca's status and his opposition from Serbia.
They can't physically put their control over the nation. The Serbian people, Trepca workers will oppose this. But Albanians can prevent the nation's business and thus endanger even more the existence of the Serbian people”, Drescu has said.
