In the absence of the plenary hearing, the opposition cancelled the protest warned of Thursday before Parliament.
24 hours before the rally, the Democratic Party announced the structures that the protest would not be held, while the next one will take place depending on the planary session. Opposition protests twice displaced the assembly of parliament.
A week ago, the Speaker of the Parliament was forced to cancel the plenary seat, concerned about the created situation, while the opposition had announced the siege of Parliament and the burning of mandates in the bloc.
The opposition did not step back, gathered before the Parliament even though there were no deputies, while the protest resulted in calm, following very strong international pressure to avoid violence.
The February 21st session was unexpectedly replaced this Tuesday, but the opposition quickly mobilized. An outside protest was called out where tension and confrontation were not lacking. The protesters had attempted to enter the courtyard of the plenary hall, where majority deputies had gathered at the session, while police responded with tear gas.
The opposition is awaiting the next session to rebuild the Parliament building again, while the March 16th national protest ahead of the prime minister does not change the plan. / TCh/
