At a meeting for the future of Europe and the Balkans, Daciq, answering Radio Free Europe's question, said that “if this idea will ever be on the table of talks, then both sides will be declared for him”.
According to him, the question of where the border division line would be defined has not yet been determined. According to him, on this issue, if the proposal is accepted, it should be put into dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
The issue of border change between Kosovo and Serbia has been mentioned several times even by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who calls this process “correction of borders”.
Even Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has not ruled out this idea as a compromise to reach a comprehensive agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
The US has said it will accept any agreement the two sides agree to, but the European Union is divided into that idea.
EU institutions have stated that they favour reaching the agreement Pristina and Belgrade agreeing to, but Germany is rejecting changing borders as part of the agreement.
