Daci: Now use momentum for union of Valley with Kosovo

According to him, the biggest flaw in the process is the lack of LDK in dialogue.

In an interview for Kosova priss, the Daci academic also speaks of the idea of redressing the borders, which, according to him, should now be used for the moment to unite Kosovo the Valley, otherwise, may no longer have a second chance.

As a phenomenon, the formation of the negotiating team for talks with Serbia, voted by the Kosovo Assembly, Nexhat Daci positively appreciates it. But not in appearance. He says that on such matters, the number of participants should be well studied.

My deep difference is that the testing process has started well, with a team, but I think that in optical vision, this dialogue is not pleasing, it looks like we're in tribal times. In scientific and peace conferences. Political is always very well studied and I would say it's completely unnecessary with such a large number. I know the goals have been good at representing all political parties, but sometimes the state is over political parties and the interest for the state should also be above political parties”, he says.

But does Nexhat Daci, once part of the Democratic League of Kosovo, agree with the non-involvement of this party in dialogue with Serbia? Not in any form. Daci suggests the LDK be part of the dialogue group.

According to Daci, the LDK would even have to lead such a process.

“E the biggest fault of the process in this phase is the lack of LDK, which is without reason the LDK's existential as the oldest party, as the largest party. The LDK has always been the leader of the process in the state-building. Let's not forget that even in Rambouillet, in Paris, the LDK has gone with the most powerful people, with President Rugova and academic Fehmi Agani, and have not been the main ones, have not boycotted. It's not in the nature of the Rugovism political philosophy, it boycotted something, but it's been driven by processes and given its contribution. My suggestion would be, although it's late for everything, the LDK would have to be in that group and because of the experience and tradition it has, maybe even to lead that process”, he says.

For Kosova Prees, former Kosovo Assembly Speaker has also spoken of the idea of redressing borders. According to him, it is widely misunderstood, since there can be no exchange of territory.

But Daci says one day even geographically, the lines with Serbia should be established.

He says the Valley should join Kosovo, and that is an opportunity now, which may not be later.

I prefer to be convinced that all three of these people are aware of the historic moment, and that there will ever be a chance, I don't think. I understand that for the first time in Albanian history, Kosovo gets a moment that some of the territories robbed by the invaders return to its mother bed. I only say it as my own opinion on the basis of the experience I've had as speaker of parliament, as a connoisseur of circumstances, now even as the head of the academy, who has no aspirations for anything other than being in the role of the council if required by the academy. My deep conviction is, or now it will always be in trouble, that I say cancerous tumor will have on the map of two states, Kosovo and Serbia”, he says.
