However, the property declaration process has been constantly criticised by civil society, because it has been said that officials, despite being obliged to declare property, the process does not serve effectively in fighting illegal property.
Organisation Director “FOL”, Meddition Demolli-Niman, says the wealth declaration has been conveyed with continuing problems.
According to her, officials do not declare full wealth, as well as do not take the property declaration process seriously.
Looking at these shortcomings, many officials have not been seriously taken with property statements that in forms handed over to the Anti-Corruption Agency, only the surrender date has changed. For example, an official claims a car the same price for 5-6 years. This logic is when we know a car for these years is absorbed and cannot have the same price, and after a year”, says Meddule Demolli-Niman.
