The chairman of the Judiciary Council gives no details in Drenas' case due to sensitivity

Idrizi made these statements at the meeting of the Kosovo Commission for Human Rights, Gender Equality, for Ungenerated Persons and Petitions where representatives of the Judiciary Council and the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council are discussing the case of sexual abuse of minors by Drenas.
“E have carefully conveyed this case, it is disturbing for us as institutions, this case has not previously been addressed in judicial institutions and cannot comment on the details, since it is the next case and in the investigative procedures”, he said.
The head of the KDR stressed that the case is sensitive and that it occurred when the victim was a minor.
The “cannot be commented on because of the sensitivity of the case because the victim at the time it occurred was minor, we should be limited and attentive when declaring and examining these cases”, he said.
Idrizi said the council's intervention affects the judges' privacy in carrying out their work.
The justices are independent and any intervention on our part affects the privacy of the disabled”, he added.
