BIK Squee asks the Pristina municipality at all about the construction of the Central Gammy

The location of this mosque is in the neighbourhood “Ulpiana”, near the Kosovo Telekom object, but an exact time for starting the works is still unknown.

On this matter news.net has contacted BIK spokesman Ahmet Sadriu, who has given no clear answers.

While Pristina municipality spokesman Adonis Tahiri has said BIK has not yet applied for permits in the municipality for building this mosque.

“BIK has not yet applied for construction permits”, Tahiri said briefly about news.net.

So far, BIK has only received construction conditions from the municipality, which means that besides cleaning up the workshop that has been made and surrounding it, it cannot start construction without building permits provided.

Construction of this mosque had preceded a series of protests by the Muslim community, which had demanded that this cult be built in front of the cathedral “Mother Teresa” in the court of the Philological faculty. But after consultations between Pristina chairman and the chairman of the Kosovo Islamic Community, consensus has been reached for the mosque to be built in the Ulpiana neighbourhood.

This mosque will be financed and built by the Turkish Islamic Community, while its cost is estimated to be 35m to 40m euros.
