The education minister's decision to ban the use of mobile phones has begun to apply to all pre-university educational institutions.
Education Minister Fehmi Hysenaj's adviser told Kosovo Radio that some municipalities have reported there have been cases where mobile phones have been confiscated.
We have municipalities that have reported that since the early days of implementation of the decision, many mobile phones have been confiscated. As the guide is known, the director predicts that the first time the phone is seized, the directorate will call the parent and hand over the phone to him, but if that happens for the second time then the phone is required to hand it over to State Police”, he said, public television reports.
Hysenaj also stressed that for all who do not respect this decision, punitive measures will be taken, such as exemption from school or transfer to another school.
However, other measures under the legislation are envisioned in addition to sequencing. There are different measures for violating school rules, measures will be taken as exemption from school or transfer to another school”, he said.
In this regard, Education Minister Shyqi Bytyqi has indicated that this decision has been made following major complaints he has received from school principals and students himself. According to him, the decision will have a positive impact on the learning process, increasing the quality of this process.
