The Kosovo Government's decision to apply the 100 per cent tax on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is a clear violation of CEFTA and the Stabilisation and Association Agreement. I call on the government in Pristina to cancel this decision so that, I hope, the dialogue will continue”, McAllister said.
He also added that the EU has already made it clear that there can be no achievement of a legally binding agreement between Kosovo and Serbia without the removal of the tax.
I understand both sides have concerns, I understand it is not easy, but I also want to stress that the two presidents Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci have raised dialogue to the new level”, McAllister, who is considered a trustworthy man of Merkel in the European Parliament, has said.
