In a statement Monday, the US military command for the African continent said the air strike took place yesterday, about 37km east of Beledway in the Hiran region.
The US has dramatically increased air strikes against Al-Shabab, the most dangerous extremist group in Africa since President Donald Trump took office.
Authorities and experts agree that more air strikes are needed to defeat the extremist group, which continues to hold large parts of rural and southern Somalia, and to conduct deadly attacks on the capital, Mogadisho.
