The first issue of the newspaper was printed on February 12th 1945 in Prizren, where, after the 60th, the paper begins printing in Pristina.
The newspaper was first printed as a weekly from June 1948, and from November 1958 it began to become a daily.
On September 5, 1990, the Serbian occupational administration closed. Part of this newspaper's staff continued the printing of the daily newspaper with “Buyku”.
The paper resumed publication after Kosovo's liberation in 1999, but due to mismanagement, it was closed in time.
