Today 49 years from founding the university “Hasan Pristina”

Pristina University is the largest university in Kosovo and one of the largest in the region. In recent years, The UPI ranks among the best universities in the region.

UP is a member of the European University Association and has co-operation with Western European and American universities and institutions.

UP was founded with the Law on the founding of the University of Pristina, which the Kosovo Assembly approved on November 18, 1969. The founding of the University of Pristina was a historic event for the people of Kosovo, and especially for the Albanian nation. Pristina University founding district was held on 13 February 1970, while two days later, on February 15, 1970, the Parliament's solemn meeting was held, and February 15th date was proclaimed Day of the University of Pristina
