The eruption of the volcano that took place earlier this month in New Zealand, respectively, left 19 people dead and many more in critical condition, while two are missing.
The two-week search for the two victims left by the volcano explosion has ceased. The news was made known by chief of police Andy McGregor in a statement, writes the DA, following Periscope.
McGregor also announced that families of two missing persons have been informed of the decision.
While the two victims who are missing and allegedly dead are Winona Langford, a 17-year-old Australian tourist and Hayden Marshall-Inman, a 40-year-old guide from New Zealand.
We remember that at the moment of the volcano explosion, there were 47 people who visited the tourist destination, initially killing 13 and leaving dozens of others hospitalised with severe burns. Many remain in critical condition.
