Despite objections from the US and NATO, Turkey is aiming to buy more missiles from Russia.
According to the Interfax news agency, Russia and Turkey are working on a new contract to trade Russian missile systems S-400.
Moscow hopes to sign an agreement to supply Turkey with more S-400 systems in the first half of next year, Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport has confirmed on 23 October.
Washington has suspended Ankara from the F-35 combat aircraft programme, in which Turkey was a producer and buyer.
A senior US State Department official has warned sanctions on Turkey and Egypt about military agreements these countries have linked to Russia, the periscope conveys.
