Official Ankara supports the Government of the Fayez Seraj National Agreement (QMK) (Libyan Jamahiriya Arab) in Libya and has already sent military supplies to KPC despite the UN arms embargo, according to a report by UN experts last month, Reuters reports.
Turkey also said it could deploy troops in Libya if the KPC makes such a request.
National Agreement government (QMK) has been fighting in the offensive of Khalifa Haftar forces in the east for months. Haftar's forces have received support from Russia, Egypt, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
Last month, Turkey and the KPC signed an agreement to strengthen military co-operation and a separate maritime border agreement that angered Greece.
While Greece claims the agreement violates international law, Turkey denies claims, claiming it aims to protect its rights in the eastern Mediterranean. Erdogan said today that Turkey “absolutely” will not withdraw from the agreement with Libya.
