After rescue teams and television cameras left behind a truly sad scene with residents who have not yet been sheltered and thieves who have begun to steal homes left empty after being declared uninhabitable.
Many suffer from various diseases and need immediate help because they cannot cope.
Such is the case of Mrs. Juljeta Koja, who suffers from seizures and shakes all the time.
She claims she sleeps in the yard and that she has not received assistance from the authorities.
No help has been given to the municipality. They came here yesterday to give me the needle. Five days of an earthquake and the doctor hadn't come to see me. What the church in the buffet has collapsed. The site of the wall has collapsed. Some drugs have brought us Kosovars that they (communs) have given us nothing. I went looking for an umbrella and the county guy didn't give me that. Oh, you've had enough, I've been told”, says Koja.
“reporter BOOM” went to the Caka family that has two sick children. One of them was operated several days ago and slept in the cold in the tent located near the collapsed house.
We live here right now. Here's the guy I've had surgery for from my spine. We were never told where to take refuge. They only gave us this tent to get in here. And we've barely got this at 12 of the night”, says one of the residents.
I have two sick kids. I've operated one and the other's austic. I live in extraordinary conditions. I seek help from who possibly is”, she further says.
The mother of the house says that they were sent to the hotel but refused because they had no proof from the municipality so they were forced to return to tents.
And a 16-year-old relates their current situation. The walls are cold. I want to move out of this place because it's a disaster, and I want to go to a better place. We haven't been told anything to leave. We have nothing else to do, says 16-year-old.
After this concern “BOM” addressed the Administrative Thumana Unit to ask why there is no concrete response to the case either.
The manager of the Administrative Unit in Thumana has said that this family will distribute the umbrella.
The Unit's manager has not provided an explanation for the situation, but says the hotel locations are busy.
Another lady says she hasn't taken refuge yet. With tears in her eyes, she shows that she has prayed for an umbrella but has not yet received it.
Many people admit that they still sleep in ruined homes while others in the open sky.
When I look for the umbrella, go home and we'll bring it back. I go home and stay up until five o'clock in the night awake so that there's no one coming. Now sleeps out. The state is not to blame for earthquakes that fall but at least to come and give us tents where we can put our heads. I'm sick and nobody asks. It's been a week since I've been here daily,
But if not enough, another phenomenon - stealing - has been observed after the quake.
Unidentified people go to houses declared uninhabitable and steal what to find.
This is known to the people of Thummana, where one of them shows that he refuses to leave his home because he has begun stealing.
