Thaci: Merkel spoke with shame over crimes in Auschwitz, Serbian leaders speak proudly of Milosevic's crimes

President Hashim Thaci has compared German Chancellor Angela Merkel's move, who yesterday visited the Auschwitz camp for the first time and shamelessly spoke of the crimes that took place there with statements by Serbian officials denying Recak's Massacre. He said in a Twitter post that if Merkel speaks in body for [...]

He in a tweet said that if Merkel speaks to the past crimes of German leaders, Serbian leaders are proud of Slobodan Milosevic's crimes.

“Kancelar Merkel respectfully spoke at Auschwitz about the shame of the perpetrators. Serbian leaders proudly speak of genocide. We will achieve peace for the coming generations of the Balkans, only when shame -- nothing but shame -- is expressed when we discuss what Milosevic left behind”.

President Aleksandar Vuciq called Recak's Massacre forged, while US diplomat William Walker, who told the world of the crimes that occurred in Recak during wartime, called him a fraud.

Such statements came from several top Serbian state officials following the two-year prison sentence of former Prime Minister Ivan Todosijevic, who said the same while in the post in the past Kosovo government.
