The index of lack of skilled workers (PDF), drawn up annually by Adedco Switzerland in co-operation with the University of Zurich, measures of professions, in which the number of free jobs is particularly large compared to the number of job seekers, writes Swissinfo.ch.
The index noted that this year's lack of specific sectors had become even more pronounced, especially in German-speaking Switzerland, sends albinfo.ch.
Engineering professions remained at the top of the ranking for lack of capable work. Technical works like heating, ventilation, and air conditioning engineers were raised from third place to second place. In addition, the lack of specialists in medical professions and pharmaceuticals had increased significantly, with more free countries than a year ago, said Adecco.
On the other hand, there is a surplus of workers in cleaning or hygiene professions and body care, such as hairgoers, dressers, or stewards. Competition for work is the largest in these professions, according to the survey, further conveys albinfo.ch.
Competition is also high in the hospitality industry, trade, as well as trade and administrative positions.
