In a report on his Facebook profile, Kosovo's first Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli has confirmed that Kosovo will boycott the event.
Kosovo will not attend the Stockholm Nobel ceremony this year. I confirm that our ambassador Mrs. Weekend- Geci-Sherifi will boycott this event, due to Nobel Prize Controvers winner Peter Handke, friend and supporter of Milosevic's” policy, Pacolli wrote.
This initiative has immediately joined Albania.
Albania's Foreign Minister Gent Cakaj's post has announced that Albania has cancelled participation in the summit for the Southeast Europe Co-operation Process (SEECP), which will be held on 8 July in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Cakaj has said that the annulment of participation at the Sarajevo summit to solidify Kosovo.
“Albania annuls participation in the SEECP summit in solidarity with Kosovo. The approach of Kosovo by summit organisers is unacceptable and is contrary to its goal, to create a climate of confidence, good neighbourly reports and stability. No collaboration without equal treatment”, Cakaj wrote in a post in Titter.
At Nobel's handover ceremony to Handkes, it has so far been declared that they will not participate, Turkey, Macedonia and Croatia, as well as Afghanistan.
We remember that Handke as a great fan of Milosevic, in a script published during the war in Kosovo, had written “if you support Serbs, stand up”. The Austrian author had stressed that he never believes Serbs committed genocide in Srebrenica./Periscopi/
