It has been a request by Regional Co-operation Council Secretary Majlinda Bregu, what prompted summit participants “Friends of Europe” to make this gesture of honour for the victims of the most devastating earthquake of four decades in our country, as well as for all who were affected by it. At the summit attended by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, it is discussed on the future of the Western Balkans.
The situation in Albania continues to find reflections in foreign media, which are now focusing on the fate that Tirana, Durres and Kruja prosecutors have launched investigations concerning damaged buildings. In particular, the fact that the investigation is focused particularly on verifying building permits as well as respecting illegal regulations and construction.
Tirana and Durres are the two most affected areas of the earthquake, including the town of Thumana. According to official reports, remember the VOA, part of the investigation, which has been launched for criminal abuse of office, illegal construction and provision of construction aid, are construction permits issued by local authorities, implementation by builders, as well as cases of Abusive construction, and lack of intervention by responsible authorities.
