In the marathon citizens will run in Santa's winter clothing, clothing that has been bought at the organisers of this event and money from the sale is destined for families in need.
This end-of-year activity is now taking place four years in order to help poor families, which in this year will benefit about 700 Sosh.
Organiser of this event, Yusuf Islami told Kosova Prees they are very pleased that their initiative is getting support from citizens. He recalls that the first time this type of activity was held, 60 families were helped, until this year it will be markedly larger, where some 700 needy families will benefit.
This year's marathon innovation, according to Islam, is also the participation of children from Handikos and SOS Village, while urging all citizens and businesses to join the marathon in order to help as many families in need.
By contrast, Kosovo is one of the 60 countries in the world that organises Santa's race for charity.
