To laugh together: Ramush Haradinaj gives new visa liberalisation date

Acting Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said the decision on visa liberalisation for Kosovo is expected to happen only in the spring of next year, and not this year as warned.

Haradinaj has said he has sent the letter to all EU countries who are decision-makers, where he has asked that visas be lifted for Kosovars, he already does not hope a decision can be made this year.

He has said extending the date for liberalisation has also contributed to Vetevendosje and LDK, which are dragging the process of building new institutions released after the 6 October elections.

We're more skeptical now. It's hard because we're looking at Christmas. I'm interested in the Council of Europe's calendar and I believe that the next likelihood is at the end of February, early March, that I'm going to go into order of day. I've continued to communicate with the parties and have made letters to all EU decision-making states on this subject that is an injustice. Haradinaj in an interview for Kosovapress had said visa liberalisation would take place in December.

There is real possibility that visa liberalisation occurs at the end of this year, so in December, Haradinaj had declared.

Haradinaj, however, has said the government has fulfilled all obligations and that delays are being made for no reason.

He thinks the decision is political, while thanking Germany and Chancellor Merkel for continuing efforts for Kosovars to move free into the Schengen area.

“will not go indefinitely. I know people are looking, but we as governments have done our job. We've won the visas, but we can decide for Europeans. They're thinking we might be late and we're late. But it's not us. Neither can Germany, France and the Netherlands say that the Kosovo government is delaying visas. We're really standing by, but they're slower. The incumbent prime minister has also commented on the prolongation of establishing institutions on the part of VV and LDK. He has said he is having trouble keeping the government in this situation, as he has called on these two parties to build new institutions.
