Two Labour Ministry officials are arrested

Kosovo Special Prosecutor Blerim Isufaj has filed an indictment at the Constitutional Court in Pristina against two indictees, S.R. and K.B. for criminal acts “Use of official task” and “Effecting”.

Special Prosecutor announces the defendant, S.R. in quality of the official person, head of the IIFDL Internal and Foreign Control Division of the Ministry of Labour and Social Management and accused K.B. The official in the same ministry department, during October 2017, during the month, they have exploited their official positions.

The two accused have exceeded official authorisations, without authorisation, received 31 applications for recognition of the war veteran's right and have gone to the Republic of Albania, in the town of Kruma, where they have completed 31 applications for individuals from the Republic of Albania.

The two accused, then the completed forms, were brought to Kosovo, and handed over to the MPMS DIFDL, which up to 30.11.2019, benefited from the status of the war veteran in many of the 133 thousand and 280 euros illegally”, is said in the Special Prosecutor's Community.

Also, the accused S.R. and the C.B. in quality of official persons in 16,01.2019 have exercised direct influence on the official with the V.B. initials. For the admission of four MPMS DIFDL applications for the status of war veteran that S.P. had brought them. Citizens of the Republic of Albania, in order to ensure that these four persons are unjustly granted benefits of war veteran status and the right to compensation for this status on the basis of the law.
